When we bought it, it was the Classic Manor New Day Cabin. Now they sell Tuff Shed Sundance Outbuildings. I posted the photos of them putting it up, but I never got photos of the inside once we got it more finished. This post answers your questions. We put insulation in the floor, ceiling and walls. Then we put drywall over that, painted and put carpet on the floor. We added gas heat and air-conditioning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.projectsmallhouse.com\/blog\/2016\/03\/our-classic-manor-new-day-cabin\/\">Building our Classic Manor New Day Cabin ><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I know. There are a lot of these that are fixed up really really cute. They open and they have screens. The stairs in models are put in all different ways. Ours are not exactly centered. We left as much space as we could under the stairs, to the left in this photo. It seemed the most practical use of the space.<\/p>\n<p>Often they have the stairs turn a corner with a landing in the middle. That makes it harder to move things up and down the stairs. This arrangement was most practical for a workshop. I\u2019ve been asked if this is big enough to use for various things. It is small.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10441\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10441\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10441\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.projectsmallhouse.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/classic_manor-upstairs-a-1.jpg?resize=500%2C375&ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10441\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Not very much space above the stairs<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>That\u2019s it. Not much space left here.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10438\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10438\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10438\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.projectsmallhouse.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/classic_manor-heater.jpg?resize=500%2C375&ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10438\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A gas heater provides enough heat for upstairs and downstairs<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Heat & Air Conditioning<\/h2>\n<p>We built a little half wall to support a gas heater. We had that all finished before the drywall was put up.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10428\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10428\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10428\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.projectsmallhouse.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/classic_manor-inside-d.jpg?resize=500%2C375&ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10428\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Downstairs<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Insulation & Drywall<\/h2>\n<p>While we were having the building put up, a neighbor walked over to see if we wanted it finished inside. He turned out to be a guy my husband went to school with and he offered us a really good price to hang sheetrock.<\/p>\n<p>So we bought the pink fiberglass insulation, filled the walls and the guy hung drywall to finish the inside.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10435\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10435\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10435\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.projectsmallhouse.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/classic_manor-upstairs-d.jpg?resize=500%2C375&ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10435\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Upstairs ceiling is boxed in for insulation.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>We boxed in the upstairs ceiling so we could insulate it.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10451\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10451\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10451\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.projectsmallhouse.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/classic_manor-ceiling.jpg?resize=500%2C375&ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10451\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Downstairs ceiling<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>We left the downstairs ceiling alone and just painted the wood.<\/p>\n<h2>Mistint Paint<\/h2>\n<p>I went to Home Depot and asked if they had any mistint paint. The guy laughed and showed me a pallet in back of the store. A new employee had not admitted he didn\u2019t know how to use the tinting equipment and had been hiding all his mistakes. They had just discovered them. The manager helped me pick out 15 gallons of paints that were light colored and could be mixed together and gave me a great price for them. We mixed them back and forth in five gallon buckets till everything was the same color and sprayed everything. (We taped off the windows and vents and things first.)<\/p>\n<p>We put flat commercial grade carpet on the floor. If you drop a little screw on carpet, it stays put and doesn\u2019t roll off and hide.<\/p>\n<p>So that\u2019s it!
