And you have way fewer options.<\/p>\n<p>We have built before and things always cost way more than they say, so we just didn\u2019t want to get into that again. And we just don\u2019t have the time and skills to do what we really want this time by ourselves.<\/p>\n<p>Check out Schumacher Homes\u2019 website. They give absolute up-front costs.<br \/>\nIf you remove things, it costs even less. (Unlike modulars, where if there is any credit at all, it is minuscule.)<\/p>\n<p>Also, Schumacher Homes lets you tour their homes while they are under construction. (Not just any time, during open-houses.) So, you can see what the quality is. It\u2019s good. Normal. What you\u2019d expect. (Or what you hope you should be able to expect.)<\/p>\n<p>The modular idea is cool.
