Truss Connector Plates<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

These plates hold all the trusses together. Truss connector plates or Gang-Nail plates are galvanized steel plates punched to create teeth on one side.<\/p>\n

Gang-Nail plates were invented by John Calvin Jureit in 1955. They make building faster and easier and stronger. After Hurricane Andrews (1992), roofs with trusses built using Gang-Nail plates were way more likely to survive.<\/p>\n
