This is fine for the guest bathroom, but I want a deeper tub for me.<\/p>\n<p>I went through this before when I added a second bath to the log cabin. I did a lot of research to find the deepest tub that would fit in the space I had.<\/p>\n<p class=\"entry-title\" style=\"text-align: right;\"><a title=\"Project: Finding the Deepest Tub for the Money\" href=\"https:\/\/www.projectsmallhouse.com\/blog\/2017\/03\/finding-the-deepest-tub-for-the-money\/\">Project: Finding the Deepest Tub for the Money &gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This time I don\u2019t have to compromise. I started with research on-line, then drove out to actually try on the tubs. It was a revelation. Some the deepest tubs were just awful! The sides are so steep you can\u2019t lean back or they are so short your knees are up at an awkward uncomfortable angle.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9652\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9652\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9652\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.projectsmallhouse.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/too_big.jpg?resize=500%2C430&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"430\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9652\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">This tub is too long.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>If the tub is too long, you slide under the water when you try to relax.<\/p>\n<p>There are quite a few showrooms where you can take off your shoes and sit in the tubs. It was not at all what I had in mind. But the angle of the back was so comfortable! And it me fit perfectly! Some are so long, I would be sliding down. Others are too short, so my knees have to be up. Some hold so much water, it would empty the hot water heater twice to fill it up. This one was perfect. It is 66&#8243; long, but there is plenty of space for it. For the number of times I would actually use bubbles or heat, it wasn\u2019t worth the additional price of the tub and the electrician to make it work.
