Some of the supports to the front porch of the log cabin were deteriorating.<\/p>\n

Cliff had put in additional supports, just to be safe, since we often have 20 or more people over for barbecues.<\/p>\n

My brother came over to fix it.<\/p>\n

He ran a line to keep the porch level.<\/p>\n

Then he jacked up the porch and pulled out the bad post.<\/p>\n

He dug down to the pier and measured for the new post.<\/p>\n

He jacked up a little more and forced the new post into place.<\/p>\n

He fastened the post in and released the jack.<\/p>\n
