A house near where we are building got a whole new look with just a few farmhouse style details.<\/p>\n

Honestly, I don\u2019t even remember what the house used to look like. I\u2019ve driven down this road a hundred times\u00a0 and never even noticed it. I\u2019m sure it looked like the rest of the houses on this road, nice, but not noticeable. White paint, a metal pent roof over the garage and farmhouse style lighting make all the difference.<\/p>\n

2-Story Front<\/h2>\n

I think the center 2-story bit is an addition, too. It really makes a difference! \u00a0The small 2-Story front has board and batten siding. I don\u2019t know what was there before. A lot of the houses have just a flat roof line with a little indent under it so that you can stand out of the rain while you unlock the front door.<\/p>\n

White Paint<\/h2>\n

Nothing says farmhouse like white paint. If it was painted white before, I never noticed. But white is perfect to get this farmhouse look. They painted the lap siding and the board and batten siding on the center addition white.<\/p>\n

Board Walk<\/h2>\n

The rest of the houses in the neighborhood have cement steps and walkway. \u00a0The boardwalk is seamless as it goes to the front deck. It leads straight onto the front porch, instead of the steps down and then back up like on the rest of the houses in the neighborhood.<\/p>\n
