So, if you want to, you can stay in our cabin.

When Cliff and I first got married, we lived in his house and rented out my cabin. This was ten years ago. I took pictures and put the log cabin on VRBO. It was rented the same day I listed it and stayed rented. I raised the price a few times and it still rented. I really missed the cabin, though. Finally we moved into the cabin and rented out his house.

We did very well when we were renting the log cabin out. Even pushing all the expenses into it we could, there was a surprising amount of income to pay taxes on. But we also learned how much work it is. And we had to be available. So, this time we are using a Vacation Rental Management company. We have decided to go with Evolve. There is no up-front cost, no contract and they only charge 10%. They say they will put the cabin on VRBO, Airbnb, TripAdvisor, HomeAway, FlipKey and other websites. They handle pretty much everything, even cleaning, which is what I was concerned about.

So, we will see how this goes.

Standing in the closet to get a shot of the master bedroom

Yesterday they sent a photographer to get the photos for the listing.

The photographer used an app on his phone for the shots.

His name is Jeremy with Red Rabbit Media: redrabbitmedia.net.
