Cassette Toilets
A cassette toilet splits the difference between a portable toilet and one that is plumbed into the RV and has to be pumped out at a holding tank dump station.
Instead of an installed black water tank for sewage, a cassette toilet has a removable tank that can be poured into a dump station, septic system or into a toilet.
The tank holds quite a lot more than a portable toilet tank.
A Cassette Toilet may be new to you, but they aren’t new. Thetford started selling a permanent toilet with removable holding tank in 1986.
Combine the comfort of RV permanent toilets with the convenience of portable toilets and add a holding tank.
Some cassette toilets have a tank to hold flush water. Others have a water supply line coming through the back wall to provide the water to flush with.
Cassette Toilets with Their Own Fresh Water Tanks
These cassette toilets are self contained and do not need to be plumbed to a freshwater tank. They can be installed as a freestanding unit against any outer wall of the vehicle.
