They Got the Roof On!

I can’t believe they were able to get the roof on! We have had unbelievable weather for the last few weeks.

We set a record for rainfall over the last two weeks. The previous record for May was 9.18 inches. We had 17 inches. There has been flooding, evacuations and fatalities. I-26 was closed for nearly 8 hours with 3 feet of flood water and downed trees. I-40 was closed by flooding and a mudslide.

The guys had been out a couple of times, but were always chased away by the rain.

And with all of this, they managed to get the roof finished! We drove by on Saturday. Not because we thought there would be any changes. We drove by to see how the house did with all the flooding.

And there they were! They were putting on the tar paper! The plywood was up!

And the house did fine in the flooding. All the grading worked. No problem at all.
