First Copy of the Blueprints

First Copy of the Blueprints

We got the first copy of the blueprints to go over! So exciting!

Elevations First Copy of the Blueprints

This is the elevations, the plans for what the outside of the cabin will look like.

The windows don’t line up

The first thing that jumps out at me is that the windows don’t line up.

Loft Section
First Copy of the Blueprints

This is why. The loft over the laundry room and bathroom lowers the ceiling, so there isn’t enough room for the window. There are two options, a smaller window or raise the ceiling.

14×12 Bedroom
First Copy of the Blueprints

This is the bedroom. It is 14′ x 12′. That’s not small, but these doors look like they really eat into the usable space.

Bifold Closet Doors

This is a photo of the bedroom with the bifold closet doors.

Double Out-swing Closet Doors

Out-swing doors will take up even more space.

Barn Style Closet Doors

Barn style doors take space too, just on the sides instead of in the front. And they have a lot of personality.

Bypass Closet Doors

Chase, the gentleman we are working with now, suggested bypass closet doors and sent us a photo of a cabin they are working on right now.

Bypass Closet Doors

Perfect! There is only access to one side at a time, but they don’t swing into the room or take up any wall space at all.

The cabin is from Westwood Cabins. You can see more photos and floor plans at www.westwoodcabins.com and www.facebook.com/westwoodcabins.
